How long are cookies kept?

Most of the time, these are just code snippets measuring 1x1 pixel, which are able to identify and recognize your browser type via the browser ID (your browser's personal fingerprint). In this way, the service provider can see when and how many users have called up the pixel, in this case whether and when an e-mail was opened or a website visited.

To prevent web beacons on our web pages, you can use tools such as webwasher, bugnosys or AdBlock. Without your explicit consent, we will not use pixel tags to collect personal data without your knowledge or transmit such data about you to third parties and marketing platforms.

Purposes and legal basis for using cookies and other identifiers

The legal basis for the processing of personal data using technically necessary cookies is Art. 6 para. 1, 1st sentence reads. f GDPR.

The purpose of using technically absolutely necessary cookies is to simplify the use of websites for users. Some functions of our web pages cannot be offered without the use of cookies. For these functions, it is necessary that the browser is identified even after a page change.

With regard to technically absolutely necessary cookies, the right of objection is excluded, as these cookies are required to be able to display our website and its contents and to provide you with the functionality of the website.

User data collected using technically absolutely necessary cookies is not used for the purpose of creating user profiles.
